Hey There
I'm Zachary, a 3D Animator based in Montreal, Canada with over 10 years of experience in video games, TV, and film.
As an animator with a diverse portfolio, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some incredible projects over the years. From my early beginnings at the Art Institute of Portland, where I graduated in 2010, I dove headfirst into the games industry, animating for iconic titles such as Marvel Super Hero Squad, Tales of Monkey Island, and Fable: The Journey.
In 2012, I honed my craft further through Animation Mentor, a move that opened up doors for me in the television industry. I worked on a range of projects, from NBC’s Grimm to Hallmark’s Polariffic, and even landed commercial spots for major brands like Coca Cola, Chips Ahoy, and Koodo.
Eventually, I felt the pull towards film and joined teams on major productions like Kubo and the Two Strings, Scoob, Encanto, and Strange World. These experiences have shaped me into the animator I am today, and I am proud to currently work at Sony Pictures Imageworks.
In addition to my work in the industry, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with others. That’s why I’m in the process of creating an online animation course, which will allow me to pass on my experience to budding animators. I also coach students and help them become better at their craft so that they can reach their full potential.
My journey as an animator has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in this field. Whether through my work on major productions, my teaching and coaching, or my upcoming online course, I’m dedicated to helping others find their passion for animation and reach their own goals.

What are the prerequisites?
You will need to obtain your own version of Maya and use your own character rigs. Our lessons are done in English.

What are the coaching sessions like?
In my focused ninety minute class within the 5 and 10 week mentorship package, we will begin by reviewing your shots or demo reel and identifying areas for improvement. Together, we will then create a new shot from start to finish, covering everything from planning and blocking to spline and polish. Throughout the program, I will be with you every step of the way, demonstrating how to fix problem areas and helping you grow as an animation artist. What are the cancelation, rescheduling, and termination policy?
E-critiques are nonrefundable. For my coaching sessions, you can cancel anytime before the first class begins. Any cancelation afterwards will be nonrefundable.
For rescheduling on my coaching sessions, please message me at least 24 hours in advanced with the new date and time you’d like to set.
There will be no refund granted for students who are disruptive, rude, or harassing me in class or outside of class. I have the right to cancel class if I feel unsafe during our lessons.
